Tracy Ward is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Veracyte. She joined the company in March 2026, and leads Veracyte’s people strategy, overseeing all aspects of the global Human Resources function. Ms. Ward brings more than 20 years of experience across high-growth and global enterprises, with a track record of building scalable systems, developing high-performing teams, and guiding organizations through periods of transformation.
Before joining Veracyte, Ms. Ward spent 12 years at Illumina, most recently as Vice President of Total Rewards, Talent, and Corporate Social Responsibility. In that role, she led global teams across compensation, benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, talent development, and CSR. During her tenure, she partnered with the executive team and the Board to align people strategy with business outcomes through significant growth, organizational change, and global expansion.
Earlier in her career, she held human resources roles at CareFusion (now Becton Dickinson), Life Technologies (now Thermo Fisher Scientific), and Qualcomm. Ms. Ward holds a B.S. in Communications from the University of Utah and an M.B.A. from San Diego State University.
